Lower gearing multiplies motor torque at the wheel, so sustained climbs happen at a steady pace instead of a struggle that heats the motor and drains the pack. Twelve-inch off-road rims put more sidewall and tread between the rim and the rock than a standard golf wheel, which is what prevents pinch damage on rutted acreage trails. An optional rear cargo tray adds working capacity when the buggy is not carrying passengers.
