Fitting larger tyres and a lift kit increases the load on every hill, and a factory controller current-limits or overheats long before the motor does. The Curtis 1268 raises that ceiling to 400 amps peak and adds programmable acceleration and speed curves, so the buggy can be tuned for torque on steep acreage rather than left with a flat factory map. Regenerative braking control recovers energy on descents and adds engine-braking feel. A well-known industrial unit with parts and programming knowledge widely available in Australia.
